Awareness is Essential to Your Ability to Make Changes in Your Life

You have to be aware of what you are currently doing and saying if you are ever going to be able to make any changes in your life. If you don’t know what you are doing now that you cannot change it. Indeed you are not likely to even want to make any changes.

You have to make up your mind how you would like to be and then you have to catch yourself, in the moment, when you are not behaving in the desired way, so that you can alter what you are about to do.

Self focus is something that we are often trained NOT to do when we are young. Many parents and adults discourage focus on oneself because it is considered to be selfish or self-centered in a bad way. So it often happens that we have to re-learn to actually focus on ourselves in the way that we naturally did when we were young children.

If you want to change any aspect of your life you first have to change your thinking and in order to do that you have to first uncover your existing thinking so that you can change it.

Today – watch and listen to yourself so that you can be aware of what you think and do.
