Eat, Pray, Love

by David Ferrers

As this is a short week in terms of blogging I decided that I would just let you know what I have been reading lately and give you an idea of what you might get from reading these books.

The first book on my list is Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything. This is the autobiographical story of Elizabeth’s one year journey to recover from the pain of her messy divorce.

I thought that her approach to dealing with a very dispiriting period of her life was original and it turns out to have also been highly therapeutic.

At first it appears that the key to her success was a complete change of lifestyle, not something that most of us could do. But once I thought about this more closely I concluded that anyone could follow the same route out of misery and into happiness without having to travel the world to achieve the desired result. It is simply a matter of changing your lifestyle and focusing on what you really want.

Whatever, I enjoyed the book and found it gave me a lot of interesting ideas.
