No. 4 – Awareness of Your Behaviour
Your behaviour is your body language, your gestures and your speech. It is what you do and the meanings you convey to yourself and others by your actions. It is how you move around and get things done.
The movements of your body are generated by your thoughts which dictate what your body does. Your feelings dictate the level of energy that you input into your actions.
Once your thoughts have sent instructions to your body telling it what to do they then monitor your actions to make sure that you are carrying out their instructions correctly.
Therefore your bodily actions feed into your mind and can influence your thoughts and your feelings. More on this in a later article.
Groovy people are very aware of their body actions. They check whether their facial expressions and body language are conveying the meaning that they intend by watching and listening to the feedback that they receive from their audience.
Today’s Exercise: at regular intervals, tune in to your behaviour. Watch what you’re doing. Notice your gestures. Notice your body language. Listen to what you are saying and the tone in which you say it. Being aware of your of your body language and speech is an important skill to have. It will help you to become whatever you wish to become. Groovy people pay close attention to their what they are doing and the way in which they are doing it so that they can always improve on their behaviour. Groovy people are sensible of their bodily actions.
