A lot of people think that there is some black art to being persuasive. It as if they believe that those who are very persuasive have some means of persuading others that is a gift or an extra force in their personality. But none of this is true.
Persuasion can be learned. The use of NLP techniques such as modeling, mirroring, language patterns can all enable anyone who wishes to become more persuasive to achieve their ambition.
Persuasion is a high level communication skill. To be successful at persuading others you need to first get their attention. Then you need to create a good feeling about what you want to communicate. Then you need to present your case in logical way, with lots of supporting evidence. All of that is logical.
What NLP will add to your persuasiveness will be the ability to understand what the other party wants or needs and then to present your case in a way that will cause them to want to agree with you.
